- Liaising with vendors and buyers throughout the various stages of the sale, assisting with their requests and requirements, in this way building and maintaining solid professional relationships- Assessing authenticity, age, medium, conditions, alterations and market value of the artworks presented for valuation, either in person or via email; arranging external valuations and preparing valuations for purposes of probate and insurance- Verifying provenance and carrying out researches on the history of the artworks, also consulting with other specialists, lecturers, dealers and curators to trace down authenticity- Supervising movements and storage of throughout the sale cycle; liaising with other departments to govern the consignment of incoming lots and the collection of sold lots; introduction and overseeing the operation of a practical storage system to prevent loss and damage; keeping track of the artworks inventory; contacting restorers and framers; directing the installation of the sale set-up- Photographing the lots, writing catalogue texts, proofreading and editing the catalogue descriptions and images, while also scrutinising the correct ownership of the lots- Providing condition reports, responding to enquiries; assisting with the sales and after-sales administration- Collaborating with the Marketing Department - selecting objects of art to be advertised, developing strategies and choosing contents for social media and newsletters; writing essays to publicise highlighted lots; contacting potential buyers targeting their specific interests- Conceiving, launching and managing an Instagram page for my department, for which I also designed a logo; selecting lots to be featured on the platform, photographing, editing, researching them further, and writing related captions

- Strong attention to detail needed for the daily condition reports regarding collection and building maintenance- Collaboration with members of other departments to ensure the best possible conservation and presentation of the exhibits- Engagement in library and archive research for the NVQ training for a personal interpretation of a selection of objects from the collection- Switchboard trained (phone, e-mail correspondence)
