Responsible for the review and negotiation of a variety of contracts, including but not limited to customer agreements, non-disclosure agreements, subcontractor, and vendor contracts for North America Maritime. Work closely with Group Legal to ensure contracts are in compliance with DNV’s business norms and contracting principles in order to protect the company’s liability and reduce its risk exposure, as well as the handling of day-to-day contract-related issues and updates with both internal and external clients.• Act as a liaison between external clients and various internal groups in negotiating contracts. Interact with the business to review received requests for proposal/quotes from clients and ensure all requested information is accurate and supplied. Assist the business with compiling all commercial information into a clear, concise, and quality proposal that aligns with corporate policies, procedures, and standards. • Participate in client meetings, negotiations and contract management. • Coordinate resolution of proposal and/or contractual issues requiring the input of various internal groups encountered in contract bidding, negotiations, and execution.• In conjunction with other business support staff, respond to unusual or potential business and contractual performance problems and make recommendations for corrective action.• Prepare Legal Contracts per Classification for project setup and ensure full execution from start to finish.• Act as the first point of contact for client inquiries regarding Certification Services – work with customers to ensure the performance of their products, processes and organizations through certification, assessment and training.• Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget and meet high quality standards.• Meet work standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving operational problems; identifying work process improvements.
