Hello, my name is Daniela Joya. I am a senior student at TWU, and I am interested in occupational therapy. I had the privilege to work in various clinical settings, improving my clinical reasoning skills. Through hands-on experience with clients, I have learned how to apply my knowledge and skills to real-world situations, which has enhanced my therapeutic use of self and altruism. I have gained a deeper understanding of how to connect with clients and build a rapport with them, which has been critical in my ability to provide effective treatment. Additionally, my fieldwork experience has provided me with the opportunity to practice and improve my communication skills. I have learned the importance of being able to communicate clearly and effectively with clients, as well as with other healthcare professionals.
