Jimeno was taken into custody on Spetember 11th 1973, the day of Pinochet’s coup, and went missing with 22 other men who defended the presidential palace (La Moneda) that day. I wrote the book with Claudio’s son, my husband Cristobal Jimeno. Through his personal perspective as a son and lawyer seeking justice for his father and my investigative reporting, we tell the story of Claudio, of his family’s determination to overcome the dictatorship and find the truth, and of the flaws of a judicial process that has been in courts for almost 50 years.
