CurrentInvestigating the molecular and immune cell crosstalk between the brain and peripheral systems, focusing on the regulatory mechanisms that influence brain aging and neurodegeneration with an emphasis on Alzheimer's disease pathology. By integrating chemical biology, neuroimmunology, and functional genomics, the project aims to elucidate how brain-derived proteomes drain from the parenchyma to the periphery via the CSF and the immune system in order to reveal key brain-body interactions with the goal of identifying novel therapeutic targets.
