Me in 30 seconds-I am currently starting my graduate studies as an M. Arch student at Texas A & M University at College Station, and I am originally from Mexico City. One could say that I am a woman that wants to make it and create an impact in the world we live in. I consider myself to be a dedicated, detail – oriented, committed professional with a high degree of passion to overcome obstacles. I also strive to strengthen my skills and expertise in architecture, interior design and construction. I enjoy teamwork and entrepreneurship.-Me in 2 minutes-Growing up and studying around the world within multicultural environments, has granted me the opportunity to explore and know the world in a bigger scale. Anyhow, I still remember the first time that architecture just changed for me. It happened when I was a kid in high school while doing community service. I still remember it like it was yesterday, I would go during the weekends with my family and friends to build houses for the people in need with a non-governmental association called Construyendo. And then just like turning on a light switch it became my passion, what I wanted to study, and part of who I wanted to become.Initially, when I entered the professional domain in the United States, it was at a small firm in New Orleans called Flynn Designs. I worked with them for a little over two years in the residential area either for new construction and/or renovation. I would work on the projects from the very beginning of the schematic part, all the way to the construction and building of their homes. I got the chance to work hand in hand with my bosses, the contractors, the engineers, and the client itself. Overall, it was a full hands-on experience that in a way built me up to be the architect I am today. I am also a natural leader, who integrates easily in teams contributing with fresh ideas, hard work and humble open-to-learn spirit.As I mentioned before, I am a graduate student with a great passion for architecture that thrives to change the world we live in. Also, with a long term of arriving at a being a CEO at one of the worldwide companies; having my own NCARB license in architecture in multiple states.
