I attended Florida International Univeristy, and received my Bachelors of Science in Chemistry in 2020. I am a current 3rd year student of pharmacy at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy and set to graduate in 2025. I am interested in helping others receive quality care. My current career interest is Pediatric Pharmacy and more specifically Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. I shadowed my career coach whom is a NICU pharmacist this summer and was able to attend rounds, see her day to day work, see a baby getting discharged after being in the NICU longer than a month which was so wonderful.I recently completed my Hospital IPPE in which I got to apply many of the concepts and skills learned such as interprofessional communication, and critical thinking. I am an APhA-IPSF Humanitarian Chair, looking towards community and global outreach. I plan on going on a medical humanitarian trip next year and help others that would otherwise not have access to care, receive care. I am dedicated, empathetic and caring towards others. It is my desire to make a difference in patients life, help them understand treatment and improve patient outcomes through communication, building trust, and advocating. It is important for patients to be heard, respected, and confident through patient centered care.
