I have been a nurse for 13 years and am very proud of my accomplishments so far. I worked in a step-down unit for 5 years and that position gave me an excellent experience as a new nurse. I am very grateful for all the knowledge gained at that facility and the wonderful coworkers that became friends. I currently work as a post-anesthesia care nurse with a wonderful surgeon and this position allows me to give personalized care in a comfortable environment. Working in South Florida has allowed me to have exposure to numerous cultures, religions, and ethnicities. I have learned so much about all of the beautiful different people in this area. Due to my current position, I am able to practice mindfulness in every encounter. This has allowed me to strengthen my nursing skills as well as my social and emotional awareness. I have completed my BSN recently and I look forward to continuing my education in nursing!
