I teach 26 fifth grade students teaching positivity project/morning meeting, ELA all block as well as enrichment/intervention. I also teach all of 5th grade - Science & Social Studies teacher teaching both subjects to 75+ students. Preparing North Carolina State Standard lesson plans: Writing, Science, Social Studies, Morning & Afternoon Meetings, enrichment/intervention and ALL Block for English Language Arts.

Assisting with the Recruitment Office in the Cato College of Education with various initiatives throughout this academic year. Duties include: assisting with marketing and mailings, visiting classrooms to present information, and assisting with/participating in the Fall and Spring Open Houses and Niner for a Day events - geared toward high school students who are interested in pursuing a degree in the field of education.

Taught 25 fifth grade students over the course of the entire year while serving in my yearlong internship and then into my student teaching semester; teaching small and whole group lessons.Completed over 160 hours during my yearlong internship prior to student teaching. Prepared North Carolina State Standard lesson plans and taught: English Language Arts, Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies, Morning & Afternoon Meeting, Read-Aloud, etc. Prepared Science and Social Studies/Writing instruction for 75 fifth grade students, across 3 fifth grade classrooms. Planned over 4+ weeks of mathematics instruction and planned units of math and reading. Daily operations of classroom management and assumed all non-instructional activities along with behavior management of all students. Background knowledge in IREADY, MTSS, EC, AIG and placement of students in these services. In addition to attending and listening in on LETRS trainings.

Peer Mentor for 4 mentees- undergraduate students experiencing academic difficulties or on academic probation. Customized and planned differentiating topics for 1-hour meetings each week, with each of the 4 mentees in order to support students to identify strengths, goals, action-steps, challenges and academic and personal success strategies. Recommended and guided students towards towards campus resources, and return students to good academic standing. Completed weekly trainings and professional development in order to support mentees.

Assisted with the Educational Field Trips department. Compiling field trip itineraries and participant lists, assisting with hotel and tour reservations, and managing trip reminders. Completed a great deal of planning and logistics work. International Internship Experience

Peer Advisor in the TEAL (Teacher, Education, Advising and Licensure Office) within the Cato College of Education at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Respond to general inquiries and FAQs to the central teal phone line and email in regards to advising, registration procedures, campus resources and policies. Assisted in outreach efforts to incoming and current COED students. TA (Teacher Assistant) for Intro to topics in Education course.

Hosting events at Chick-fil-A Roanoke Rapids, promoting community-minded events and outreach into the community. Social media management, public relations, planning and executing team member relation events.
