Established an eco-friendly business specializing in beauty and wellness products and services. We employ sustainably sourced, plant and flower derived Aveda products. The company became profitable in only 6+ months in operation. I was personally responsible for piecing together all moving parts involved in grounding a start-up company, and for managing all projects leading to a successful launch on schedule and on budget.

Streamlined the on-boarding of 160+ Yahoo! sites onto a shared, common publishing platform exponentially eliminating duplication and expediting time to market 10 fold. Monitored the various foundation feature tracks through defect reports and weekly quality assessment sessions; provided Scrum coaching to foundation teams to ameliorate processes, establish predictable release patterns and improve product quality, while reducing stress loads and mitigating team contentions. I also undertook Project Management and Scrum Master responsibilities for a new Developer Network team chartered with evolving developer and team communication tools, intended to improve and streamline engineering processes and day-to-day work.

Following the consolidation of Emerging Markets with CBE, participated in devising the global infrastructure strategy for a unified CBE organization and set the stage for the adoption of a shared Yahoo! Publishing Platform across a new Global CBE. Additionally and in parallel, lead several strategic, monetization-driven worldwide programs incorporating Agile and Lean practices under the newly unified CBE, including Ask America, Only on Yahoo, Toyota Who Knew, Year In Review 2010, and Yahoo! Safely – the later two deployed across 17 and 32 markets respectively, collectively yielding hundreds of millions in revenue, page views and unique users.

Miami/Fort Lauderdale Area

Managed a team of 20+ developers internationally; and lead 100+ tactical, monetization programs for up to 32 markets worldwide. Drove engineering and product operations, best practices and processes for site development; standardized product requirement specification and coached product leads in related practices; incorporated Scrum and Agile techniques; and devised globally reusable, infrastructure strategies. All collectively resulting in development optimizations, fast tracking of program launches by 2-5 times, and production cost reductions of up to 100%.

Lead a team of 7+ developers. Managed the development, maintenance, operations and support of numerous projects and products for website design, including SiteBuilder, PageBuilder, PageWizards and SiteWizards – at the time utilized by 2M+ paying customers, leveraged to build 8M+ web sites, deployed on 18 countries, and, generating over 100M in revenue through ad impressions and membership fees. Released numerous enhancements to core server technologies and infrastructure, leading to vast improvements in server stability and availability. Through software benchmarking, fine-tuning and reconfiguration, server failures were drastically reduced to practically zero a year.

Its success lead to its acquisition by Yahoo! Inc. I was responsible for analysis, design and implementation of numerous CGI solutions, TCP based servers and web applications supporting the web hosting community. Lead the integration of various third party technologies - including chat, forums, email, and ad server systems - and developed 20+ support utilities.
