Designed bearings for helicopter and aircraft gearboxes and drive train applications as per customer and industry specifications using NX with Teamcenter, and Pro/E. As part of my graduate studies, I also developed new design optimization methodologies to improve bearing manufacturability and to reduce scrap rate. Additionally, I supported the internship program by developing orientation materials and advising the interns.

As part of the Engineer and Scientist Development Program (ESDP), performed Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis on asymmetric rocket nozzle geometries using STAR-CCM+. Also, evaluated a number of blade-element-theory propeller performance codes in comparison to wind tunnel and CFD methods, and wrote a Monte-Carlo add-on to a ramjet code to study the effect of manufacturing tolerances on ramjet performance.

Worked with NASA personnel at the Space Shuttle Reusable Solid Rocket Motor (RSRM) Component Refurbishment Center, where I drafted user-friendly procedures for on-the-fly modification of a magazine-fed laser micrometer system for RSRM case-pins, and helped evaluate eddy-current testing facilities used in the non-destructive testing of RSRM components.
