Directed legislative and regulatory initiatives resulting in substantial fiscal impacts and reduced business risks. Provided executive leadership in support of the company's North American vertical association, primary industry associations, and ad-hoc coalitions. Engaged internal and external constituencies, including customers, unions, environmental and health organizations and other non-governmental groups. Treasurer for the reinvigorated O-I political action committee which grew in membership are revenue by 120% over a 5 year period. Developed and supported the execution of community relations and foundation strategies.

Innovative in developing solutions and building industry consensus on heavy metals requirements and silica safety standards. Built alliances with environmental organizations and organized a coalition with industry customers which defended recycling programs and sought to modernize consumer return systems.
