Positive and competitive, I get the job done and bring everything I do – and the people I work with, to the next level. I’m creative, driven, a self-starter, and very focused. Naturally curious, I earned my first degree in history at Bishop’s University in Quebec while playing varsity soccer. Upon graduation my passion for learning took me to Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, where I earned a Master in Philosophy degree in Medieval History. Having written numerous papers and a published thesis, my academic background was both an adventure and intellectual workout that taught me to be investigative and get to the very heart of things. With a passion for writing and research, I moved back to my hometown of Vancouver, Canada and immediately became the lead researcher of Canadian First Nation culture, history, and relations for a local exploration company. Building friendships with various elders and chiefs of the Kinistin Saulteaux and Yellow Quill First Nations of Saskatchewan I was invited to participate in powwows, cultural ceremonies and dances, and wilderness experiences. Privileged to witness the beauty and depth of their culture and history, it was a time in my life I’ll forever be grateful for and the perfect way to return to Canada after being overseas finishing my second degree. Today, with nearly 10 years in the startup-to-growth industry, I’ve learnt to fail fast, readjust, and move from one set of duties to another as the company I work for grows and pivots. Starting my career at Clio in channel development, I soon moved into marketing and for the last 8 years organize and execute legal technology’s biggest (and best) conference, the Clio Cloud Conference. With my education behind me and my career ahead of me, the newest addition to my life is life’s greatest journey of all: becoming a mother to my first child, Sofia.
