I hold my B.Sc. in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from UC Davis. I have many years' experience tutoring Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Computer Science. I've also worked in Legal and Medical Information Technology, as well as Industrial and Academic Biotechnology analysis and production.

I tutor Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science at College of Marin in Kentfield, CA. I specialize in translating intricate and heady content matter into plain English. I have a passion for education, learning, and helping students gain deep understanding of the material.

I pursued my Masters in Electrical Engineering. However, I withdrew due to a family medical emergency.

I was responsible for tutoring students in all levels of Math and provide supplemental tutoring in college level Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

I evaluated, maintained, and built database solutions for data collection and analysis in addition to general technical support for the office. In addition, I read protected health information sources and recorded them into databases for later analysis.

My team was responsible for maintaining and monitoring the production floor, responding to deviations in environmental conditions to prevent loss of cell viability, and following standard operating procedures per in-house and FDA standards. We ensured a clean and sterile environment as required in each laboratory area. My specialties included autoclave and lab washer operator.

I supervised a transitional housing center of 16 people (revolving) who would otherwise have been homeless. My responsibilities included personal counseling, working with case workers, managing medical supplies, and generally helping the residents maintain a safe, clean, sober and orderly house.

I worked in a neurological laboratory studying ion channels. We conducted Qualitative and Quantitative PCR, Immunofluorescence, Gel Electrophoresis, Microplate & Nanodrop Assays, and the corresponding data analysis. I participated in the discussion of which experiments should be conducted in the future, and examined novel methods of experimentation for cost savings.

I was the sole Litigation Support Specialist for the San Francisco Office of approximately 500 users. I was responsible for providing detailed technical support for all cases in open litigation. I provided in-session court room database, A / V, and laptop support for the litigating attorneys. I also provided cost/benefit analysis to the senior partnership resulting in the adoption of several technical solutions.

In one of the best jobs of my life I supported 800 users and 1600 machines in a team of only 5 technicians. I was recognized as being exceptionally quick to complete tasks and able to independently learn new technologies. I developed skills at translating complex technical issues into plain English for high powered but non technical lawyers. I was quickly promoted from the Help Desk to Litigation Support and received numerous raises. In particular, my work with data recovery saved the company time and money.
