I am a dedicated leader as an Incident Responder and Threat Hunter with over 25 years of combined IT, Intel, and Cyber Security experience. Most recently as the Operations Superintendent for an Air Force cyber threat hunting organization, 833 COS. Over the years I have been able to leverage the management, leadership, and technical abilities I have gained in the areas of telecommunications, wireless solutions, imagery intelligence, and cyber security to move teams and ideas forward. I use proven communication, project management and budget planning skills to accomplish the missions and goals of the organizations I worked in.I am passionate about training, teaching, and mentoring others. I currently mentor and teach a high school Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) CyberPatriot team. I started 4 years ago and each year we have competed in the Platinum tier, the top tier. I host a vSphere server on my home PC for the students to use remotely from the school since their desktops are not as capable. This started as the CTF lab but allowed me to do more with it. It turned out to be a perfect environment for the students. I a lot of my free time teaching cyber security practices to these students. They learn how to baseline secure Windows, Windows Server, Linux, and Cisco routers throughout the year and even a few malware detections. I also teach them how to write PowerShell and BASH scripts to help automate their actions. Being able to give my knowledge to others is truly what I enjoy doing, even if it's not technology related.
