About Daniel Cutler
With nearly 34 years' experience in the automotive industry, I've enjoyed a long and productive career at both Ford Motor Co. and General Motors LLC. I held leadership roles in technical management, as well as collaborative roles in vehicle/feature development and testing, project management, active safety / autonomous vehicle development, vehicle dynamics, chassis component design & release and even managed assembly lines in manufacturing plants. I've written and developed too many use cases, requirements, and test procedures to count. After refining and performing the test procedures, I've analyzed the resulting data using a variety of techniques including Matlab scripts and have then written reports and presented the results to management teams. I've proudly earned three US patents for my work.I've enjoyed mentoring and training engineers / interns throughout my career. Whether it was explaining correct methodologies and procedures, reviewing and approving their vehicle calibrations or showing them how to successfully navigate a patent review board meeting, the mentoring aspect was one of the highlights of my time in the industry.Additionally, I've worked on systems engineering projects, in simulation environments and on validation planning for ADAS and semi-autonomous/fully autonomous control features. I've worked in agile environments for software development. I've planned and led testing trips all over the US to verify real-world performance. And I've managed vehicle test fleets to ensure that engineers have access to the test properties at the right time.
Listed skills include Vehicle Dynamics, Vehicle Development And Testing, Chassis Controls, Data Analysis, and 36 others.
