Trained senior missionary couples to study foreign languages. The goal in my interaction with them was to help them become independent learners. I did not use the traditional method of lecturing and assigning homework, but rather acted as a facilitator. The idea behind this method is that when they finished the program they would no longer need me. When they left the United States they were able to function and learn the language without relying on a teacher to dictate what to study. I sent over 20 missionaries to areas such as Russia, Portugal, Bulgaria, Mexico, and Colombia.
