About Dan Boulton

I work closely with wholesale and distribution companies and I also have a love for manufacturing, both creating items myself and watching others produce different things. I find it fascinating how things are made, from fabrication to complex electrical design and development I find the whole process amazing. That is why I chose to pursue a career that puts me front and centre to manufacturing and working in the industry as a sales professional that provides essential tools for manufacturing companies to run their day to day operations. There aren't many people luckily enough to fulfil their dreams but I find myself in that position. From the age of 14 while forcing myself through education I used to daydream in class about having my own business. What that business did or what skills were required to achieve this changed daily - if I had a pound for every business idea I ever floated in my mind I could of retired by the time I left school. Based on that imagine how I'd be living by the age of 31.....unfortunately I wasn't paid for ideas and 17 years is how long it too for my dream to come true as I established my own business. Strangely it wasn't one of the previous 1000's of ideas I had come up with but with the help of lockdown, my wife and good timing ColourMe Lincoln was formed.After over 2 years of the business running we are still in our infancy and still a small family run business but the joy I feel everyday not only due to living my dream but also to be able to provide children with educational resources that are sustainable to the planet can only be compared to that joy I feel when I spend time with my children.I spend far too long talking, watching, breathing and still trying to play football. An ever present in my life that won't be replaced and although it was at under 14's level I scored against Manchester United which will always be my football claim to fame.
