As a corporate counsel and business executive, I am energized by working closely with senior leaders and boards to develop actionable strategies that drive positive business outcomes. I have an established track record of building and leading high-performing, diverse legal teams around the world.I began my in-house legal career as Dell’s first dedicated lawyer for its novel build-to-order consumer business. Later I moved into an enterprise role where I negotiated and closed major deal sales and services transactions with Dell’s largest multinational customers. Subsequently in my role as the lead lawyer for Dell’s global services business, I helped lead the company’s $2.9 billion acquisition of Perot Systems, including the successful integration of its complex multi-national operations. In 2011, I joined Twitter where I led the build out of its commercial, international, corporate, and legal operations teams. I have played an intricate role in helping Twitter develop and deliver its advertising revenue model as well as helping to lay the groundwork for it to become a publicly traded company. Most recently, I had the honor of serving as Twitter’s General Counsel on an interim basis (March to September 2020) at a critical juncture for the company leading up to the 2020 election and during a high-profile security attack. I thrive on working for an organization like Twitter where I can play an active role in strategy, leadership, management, planning and forecasting, as well as remain continually challenged to innovate by delivering high value and impact in new or unchartered legal and business areas.
