About Daniel Da Cunha

Hello everyone, my name is Daniel and I am a recent graduate of the International Development program at Humber College. I am passionate about helping others reach their own potential, particularly youth, here in Canada and internationally. I am particularly passionate about doing this through sport. Through my experience in sport, I have come to see the massive impact sports and recreation can have on a person's life. This positive impact on people's lives has made me an advocate for promoting sports as a driver for positive social change. I'm interested in organizations that do development work with sport and play as a basis for promoting positive change in the community. I want to be a part of that change and try my best to seek opportunities where I can be a part of this.I am currently working with Jokkolabs Banjul in The Gambia where I am assisting in finding funding opportunities to support their programs, as well as helping create and develop their current projects including the creation of project evaluation strategies. In the past, I have had experience with various organizations that support the advancement of youth, including youth in sport. Through these experiences, I have developed my skills in research of youth issues, results-based management, financial management, data-collection and analysis, Monitoring and Evaluation, and proposal writing.
