A competent sound engineer with good working knowledge of recording, editing and mixing with industry standard DAW's (Pro Tools, Logic and Ableton), I have gained this experience from working within the industry and through my own personal endeavours. I'm able to operate analog and digital consoles as well as the associated outboard equipment and hardware controllers that you would find in the studio environment, in addition to this I am a competent fault finder who is able to undertake the general maintenance that is required for the smooth operation of a recording studio or similar facility. During my time at Studio Mute I have gained valuable experience in a professional studio, this has involved working to produce recordings that satisfy both the artist and the record label. The meticulous nature of this work requires long periods of concentration, heightened listening skills to continually check for any errors and the ability to keep calm in a demanding environment. This is a skill I have refined I have created radio/single edits from mastered tracks as well as more in depth edits from session stems, this is a task that my musical knowledge and understanding of song structure helps greatly with and a creative process that I enjoy being involved in. I have been commended for my attention to detail in this process as well as for my accuracy in the final edits achieved.My role requires a close professional relationship with the team at Mute, I have worked with the A&R team on various projects that required time in the studio for mixing, editing and mastering services and also with the production manager to create audio files in various formats for different distribution services.

I was previously employed at Woodlands School, Basildon as Technician for Music & Performing Arts, I was responsible for the upkeep of the school’s recording studio as well as 3 music suites with computers used for composing and technology based courses, this also involved recording and cataloguing work for exam submission. In addition to my role as technician I also taught a Music Technology course and operated sound and lighting desks for events. In addition to my main role I would often be tasked with editing video footage of performances, the main software I used for this was Adobe Premier Pro & Final Cut.
