Provide security consulting and professional services to small/medium sized businesses in the local area. Incident response for computer security incidents not limited to malware investigation/remediation recommendations and digital forensics.

Guided the organization through building a cybersecurity team focused on digital and physical security for the company as well as the platform and customer hardware devices. Secured physical hardware devices with significant bandwidth restrictions that exist in public spaces as well as a SaaS-based data and control plane, user interface, and API framework that connects with customer security and physical access control systems. Achieved SOC 2 Type I and II on time and within budget.

Responsible for implementing, designing, managing and allocating all technical security measures for MX. Using my knowledge of security fundamentals, enterprise architecture, and strategic technologies to build out a comprehensive security program. In charge of managing and overseeing every aspect of security measures throughout the organization. Perform a variety of tasks, relying on wide-ranging experience and judgment in planning to accomplish appropriate goals. Examples include establishing, planning, and administering policies, goals, and procedures; developing unique solutions to security problems where an appropriate solution is not available or is cost-prohibitive; initiating and implementing disaster discovery programs; leading and directing the work of others; and taking care of budget and staffing matters. Acted as subject matter expert in a variety of security domains as needed. Notable achievements:- Grew the security program 2-2.5x year over year from 2018 to 2021- Security program Series B due diligence with no material findings in 2019- Met with a number of government organizations to help advance digitize transformation in banking including: CFPB, FDIC, House and Senate National Security Subcommittees- Advised numerous clients on how to build a fraud prevention program that mirrored the one we built at MX after identifying account takeover and credential stuffing attempts they were unable to detect.- Security program audits with many of the top 20 financial institutions for API access to their data with no material findings- Security program Series C due diligence with no material findings in 2021

Lead the architecture and design customer and workforce IAM solutions, Including on-premise and cloud-enabled enterprise-wide IAM for our external and internal human and non-human identities. Plan, design, review and manage IAM initiatives to support core security functions. Develop and maintain information security standards and processes as well as apply in-depth knowledge of information systems, cybersecurity, and compliance with industry regulations regarding IAM. Responsibilities include: Define and drive the IAM architecture strategy and roadmap. Drive leading edge development of a cloud-native IAM platform for all identities. Design and review the architecture of existing and newer IAM mechanisms including behavior analytics and machine learning. Drive adoption of IAM solutions. Identify security risks with implementation of IAM protocols and technologies. Ensure technology risks are identified and addressed for new developments, integrations, and deployments. Ability to understand business requirements for IAM solutions whether on premise or as a hosted service. Design solutions and deployment on existing platforms.

Coordinate threat intelligence efforts related to cyber security threats. Provide technical guidance around relevant cyber security threats. Architect and maintain custom and vendor based threat analysis tools to ensure that current IOCs and TTPs of threat actors are understood, building tools where needed. Work with vulnerability management team to ensure actively exploited vulnerability are handled in a timely manner. Provide ad-hoc and periodic reports to technical and management teams to ensure that cyber security threats are fully understood and needed control adjustments are understood. Function as a mentor where needed.

Responsible for identifying security events and incidents that occur on Zions Bancorporation's IT assets through the collection and analysis of large datasets and other intrusion detection tools. This is done through identifying keep datapoints need, acquiring these datapoints in an efficient scalable manner that can be used with assurance that the data is accurate and reliable. Working with members of my team, we rapidly detect and address security issues and network anomalies, then work with the appropriate members of our organization to have these issues addressed. Function as lead computer forensics investigator as required for fraud, legal and security investigations. Maintain and update incident response procedures and policies. Maintain servers and systems used for IDS and data ETL.

Maintain and manage the vulnerability management program for banks in 9 states. Analyze the entire corporation for vulnerabilities and coordinate with system owners to ensure they understand the vulnerability that they present to the corporation. Create and manage reporting systems/procedures to ensure that proper security decisions can be made.

Worked as a member of a highly skilled team that administers and implements endpoint security controls, firewalls and other necessary systems (servers, VPN’s, etc.) to ensure continual security of Zions Bancorp’s assets. Performed endpoint and network troubleshooting. Drove projects to completion by using effective communication and team work, including coordination with other departments within the bank to create more effective security solutions.

Effectively apply Zions Bancorp and ITIL policies, processes, and procedures while continuously evolving and ensuring customer satisfaction. Problem resolution using proficiency with various applications, software, networks, PCs, LAN's, terminals and extensive knowledge of telecommunication systems. Aided in the continual education of the team by developing and administrating “Dan’s Corner” where important info about Bancorp groups, systems and procedures were highlighted and explained in weekly meetings. Designed new SharePoint site for the TOPS Service Desk. Also, served as KnowledgeBase article creator for in house KB.

Utilizing the training syllabus, equipment, and learning materials to give the best learning experience to students. Testing students to gauge their development. After-class student assistance as needed. Meet deadlines for grade submissions and required duties. Mentor students as appropriate. Assure company and government compliance is maintained in classes taught. Support campus initiatives.

Respond to emergency calls to provide efficient and immediate care to the critically ill and injured, and transports the patient to a medical facility. Report verbally and in writing observations and emergency medical care of the patient at the emergency scene and in transit to the receiving facility staff for purposes of records and diagnostics. Upon request, provides assistance to the receiving facility staff. Restocks vehicle and supplies. Provide safe transportation.

Manage the back-end programming and infrastructure to allow inventory to be sold effectively online. Supervise shipping, customer service and website design and marketing departments. Create and evaluate new and existing procedures to ensure that they are as effective as possible. Work as a team with departments to get necessary tasks done before they were critical to ensure that we were ahead of what is needed.
