Working at Telespazio Germany in the Software Solution Department under the Ground Segment division with the following duties:• Evolve and execute the department strategy in the area of Ground Stations; • Maintain a high level of technical knowledge, monitor trends in the market and actively seek to understand the need of customer’s, mainly ESA (ESOC) and EUMETSAT, within the domain of software solutions for Ground Stations;• Support Sales and Business development in the acquisition of new projects for the Department, Division and the Section in particular;• Support on relevant proposal both in technical and managerial aspects• Be the Project / Service manager on smaller engagements: i.e.:o (ESA) ESOC LMS Enhancement • Be the Group Leader of a group of 7 engineers specialized in the respective area of competence. Working at EUMETSAT at SEP (System Engineering and Program) division on the following tasks: • Engineering support for MTG and MSG ground station software activities focusing on related M&C systems:• Provision of technical expertise for clarifications, actions, and inputs related to GroundStations S/W system and sub-system technical topics;• Contribute and follow-up the related developments/procurements, integration and testing of ground stations software and in particular M&C systems for present and future ground segments (i.e. High Level M&C for MTG mission and GSCON for MGS mission)• Analysis, implementation and testing of changes and re-engineering on the basis of requirements or maintainability issues;• Design, develop, testing, validation and verification of new software and database releases;• Support scheduling and prioritisation of tasks and the assessment of the quality of deliverables from third party contributors• Contribute and support to the Operation Preparation phase for MTG High Level M&C software system• Develop simulated systems (i.e. Device Simulator framework) in order improve the IV&V processes on ground station systems aiming to an automated testing environment implementation.• Provision technical expertise to re-activate the HRPT antenna on the roof of EUM HQ (RUS) and integrate it with MEOS Polar system and SLE gateway system.• Service Layer Manager of Ground Stations Team 1 Engineering Service:• Monitoring and managing the performance of the key persons;• Distributing tasks and actions and providing directions to the key persons for theperformance of the service in line with the service requirements;• Prioritising tasks • Coordinating the service with other Service Providers• Following up, monitoring and managing the execution of each Order and its WorkPackages• Following up, monitoring and managing the performance of open actions
