Primary administration for 4 JIRA instances, Confluence, a SharePoint 2010 farm, and a SharePoint 2013 farm. Drove the adoption of HipChat as a team chat solution. I am responsible for administration, updates, and upgrades on these applications as well as escalations from Help Desk. I additionally deploy and/or administer other applications as needed by staff: Guacamole (HTML5 RDP proxy), Bitbucket Server, etc. In all, my team supports 30-some odd applications.

Lansing, Michigan Area

Provided Level 1 support via phone and email for ~1000 staff in remote offices. Improved day to day operations through the use of VB scripts and better documentation. Decreased call length by driving the team to use information from Tivoli Identity Manager and checking for common problems such as password expiration when calls began. Led implementation of LiquidFiles transfer appliance which superseded sending files through U.S. mail and saved an estimated $10,000/yr on physical material cost.

Lansing, Michigan Area

Deployed and documented multi-site OpenMesh wireless network. Provided Level 1 support for ~300 staff in a multi-campus environment. Managed Cisco phone configurations, CallManager documentation, and deployment of some Cisco access points. Managed provisioning and technical issues for Verizon devices. Improved desktop imaging processes via WDS and drove purchase of Ninite Pro for application updates.

Designed and deployed campground-wide 802.11bgn network using WDS. Installed and maintained internet gateway server running Debian variant. Advised director on technological fiscal priorities and objectives. Assisted guests with technology issues.

Interacted with and guided children attending camp ranging in age from 5 to 18. Guided groups through teamwork and leadership building exercises. Fulfilled miscellaneous maintenance and food service needs.

Technology Services

I worked in both the Help Desk and Computer Repair Center, answering questions via phone, email, and walk-up. Deskside assistance was common, and I helped faculty and staff solve technology problems.

Provided technology support to teachers and administrators. Maintained DNS servers (linux/bind9) and website (server 2003/apache) running content management system. Installed new machines and performed routine IT tasks.
