Operations Director
Current• Leading & managing cross-functional teams of 4 direct reports and 50 indirect reports. This involves working closely with other senior leaders and stakeholders while ensuring buy-in and support from the wider business and parent company.• Managing operations within the business, including strategic focus, acting as commercial lead and negotiating with clients and suppliers.• Engaging with all HR related matters, including performance review, complaints and dismissals. I also lead the restructuring of a department and implementation of new systems and delivery model to enhance inter-departmental collaboration.• Working alongside the finance team to ensure invoicing and payments are efficient and on time as well as overseeing the implementation of a new finance system.• Responsibility for the procurement function of the business, maintaining an appropriate supply chain and performance management.• Creating, implementing, monitoring and maintaining processes and policies to ensure good business and compliant practice, including staged process for cradle to grave delivery of projects, UK contracting policy and delegation of authority.• Managing key risks, owning strategic risk register, and day to day oversight, management and input into matters which affect the company, including performance and disputes.• Managing and talking responsibility for the Pre-Construction department, including implementation of first apprenticeship in the business (for Sept. 2024).• Implementing and maintaining ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001 accreditation.• Performing Company Secretarial duties, member of Senior Management Team and chair of Risk & Governance Committee.• Oversight and management of internal and external audits of accounts, compliance and processes.
