I am responsible to lead and coordinate the safety trainings for the organization and lead a team of 8 to 10 instructors towards that end.I have implemented programs and policies to stay within budget, meet goals, seek growth, and stay efficient in operational capacity. I constantly recruit for, develop, and mentor staff for my department and others as needed.

As Active Aging & Special Initiatives Director, I was responsible for the management and growth of the Active Aging (Active Older Adult) programming for both Oshkosh YMCA branches as well as administration and delivery of the LIVESTRONG at the YMCA and YMCA's Diabetes Prevention Program.I was also responsible for creating and implementing special events including (but not limited to) Indoor Triathlons, Fitness Incentives, and other wellness-related programming.

I led daily operations & programming for the Downtown Health & Wellness Center and Active Older Adult department including 1 full time technician, 1 part time AOA Outreach Coordinator and approximately 15 part time staff & instructors. My duties also included- working one on one with clients of all ages and fitness levels to develop and execute their fitness plan; -leading group fitness programming;-creating, implementing and assisting with programs that positively affect member retention and member satisfaction.

I assisted the Health & Wellness Director in daily operations, special events & general fitness center duties. I scheduled and assisted in the supervision of the wellness center and group fitness instructors.

As part-time staff in the Health & Wellness Center I assisted members with developing & executing their personal fitness plans, taught various fitness classes as needed, and assisted with other duties as assigned.

Within the Aquatics Department I educated patrons in water safety and oversaw daily pool & staff operations.

Supervised staff of 3-35 lifeguards, pool attendants, building supervisors, and concessionaires in the performance of their daily duties.Worked with a variety of municipal departments relating to cleanliness, safety, and proper operation of indoor and outdoor pools and natural and artificial beaches.Created and assisted with revising and implementing Emergency Action Plans.
