DCI-Artform, Transportation & Digital, develops retail in-store experiences globally to deliver proven, integrated solutions that impact consumers’ relationships with brands to drive specific behavior and result in measurable ROI for the world’s biggest and best brands in the transportation, grocery, cosmetics, consumer electronics, restaurant, QSR, convenience store and hospitality business segments. Products include point-of-purchase displays, digital merchandising, data management, direct marketing, signage and graphics, facility maintenance, marketing programs, and retail loyalty programs.

Led targeted global corporate development initiatives for Duracell (also owned by Berkshire Hathaway) that were consistent with the company's overall growth strategy.

Oversaw all legal issues arising out of the operations of The Marmon Group of companies, including general corporate and commercial, M&A, litigation, employment, risk management and intellectual property. Managed the Marmon Group law department, including recruiting, staffing, and budgeting.• Responsibility for all corporate compliance issues, including code of conduct and compliance policies, FCPA, and anti-bribery.• Served as Corporate Secretary, and provide advice and counsel to The Marmon Group’s Board of Directors.• Managed all intercompany and external corporate financing transactions, including leveraged leases and a variety of loans.• Reviewed, analyzed and optimized company corporate structure on an ongoing basis.• Responsibility for insurance recovery and the IT department.• Assumed additional role to identify and and assist in new businesses ventures, including global acquisition, development and licensing of new technologies for Marmon and its businesses.

In addition to litigation responsibilities, took primary responsibility for commercial contracting, M&A and intellectual property matters for the Marmon companies.

Managed the Company's litigation and pre-litigation matters arising from its various operations, including product liability, toxic tort, commercial, contract, environmental, regulatory, and employment.

First and second chair copyright, trademark and patent litigation experience. Extensive experience with transactions involving intellectual property and technology transfer. Drafted and negotiated many types of commercial agreements ranging from simple licenses to complex joint venture agreements, including joint development, technology transfer, confidentiality, common interest, and consulting and services agreements. Prosecuted patent and trademark applications in a wide variety of technology areas.

Managed approximately 100 claims and lawsuits annually, including both domestic and international product liability, consumer class action, warranty and intellectual property matters, including patent, trademark, trade dress, copyright and licensing disputes. • Implemented and managed electronic discovery compliance initiatives, including development and execution of the company’s Discovery Response Plan, which coordinates identification, preservation and collection of ESI.• Developed and executed the company’s patent strategy, including review of invention disclosures, management of the filing and prosecution of patent applications, as well as conducting freedom to practice, patent infringement, validity and invalidity analyses .• Drafted technology-related commercial agreements involving intellectual property, such as joint development, confidentiality, license, consulting and services agreements.• Primary legal counsel for all regulatory issues related to consumer products, including regulations, recalls and general investigations.

Handled complex product liability, toxic tort, intellectual property and personal injury litigation. Courtroom experience included first-chair trial experience, numerous court appearances arguing various discovery and dispositive motions, and second-chair Frye and Daubert hearing participation. Extensive discovery experience in preparing product liability and personal injury lawsuits, including depositions involving roll-over accidents and slip-and-fall cases.
