• Remotely lead a team of plastics engineers and co-ops which support all mold filling simulation via Autodesk Moldflow. Support several methods of molding including but not limited to connector housings, optics, and reel to reel wafer products.• Support internal and vendor production as well as new products and mold designs by providing guidance, advice, and training related to plastic part manufacturing.• Manage projects for advancement of new technologies related to plastic part manufacturing and mold filling simulation.• Systematically solve complex product failures using standard material testing methods including but not limited to TGA, DSC and FTIR.• Provide material selection suggestions for new and existing products given application requirements. Research new materials and identify industry trends to help enable future products.• Work directly with cross functional teams to support overall product development goals.• Translate simulation knowledge and skills across other software platforms to support simulation hub goals.• Identify repetitive tasks and create automated workflows where possible.• Autonomously plan and schedule daily tasks and develop solutions to problems utilizing education, experience, and judgement.

• Perform Moldflow analyses for new and existing products to provide DFM feedback, solve molded defects, and reduce warpage.• Provide recommendations for mold tooling designs. Design both runner and cooling systems that optimize the molding process.• Select materials for new products given application criteria. Replace materials in existing applications when necessary with a resin that requires minimal mold tooling changes.• Failure analysis utilizing several material testing methods including TGA, DSC, and FTIR.• Perform solder reflow simulations utilizing ANSYS Fluent.• Coordinate simulation scheduling and resource loading.• Create automated processes to enhance simulation efficiency.

• Perform Moldflow analyses for new and existing products to provide DFM feedback, solve molded defects, and reduce warpage.• Perform material tests such as TGA, DSC, and Tensile testing for material research.• Changeover mold tooling and material for production.

• Design 3D printed fixtures for secondary operations along with a core/cavity set for experimental use in injection molding.• Evaluate and implement RJG process monitoring equipment on existing tooling.• Review molding and operator processes to improve LEAN manufacturing.• Design parts in SolidWorks and create drawings.
