Our mission here at Stiry is to inspire people to discover their divine potential by changing the way they see their story. Stiry produces raw and authentic short films and documentaries about regular people doing extraordinary things. The Stiry process guides people to identify perspective moments, write their own unique script, and consciously produce the story they were meant to live. We awaken the perspective the world needs to live in harmony.

Video editor for long-form and short-form docu-style narratives. Editing with Adobe Premiere, and some GFX work with After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

Assistant Editor for a feature film shot in SLC. Organized and prepped footage for the editor using Avid Media Composer, as well as maintained all hard drives and footage for dailies, camera originals, sound, etc.

Digitizing video and audio for storage and editing into Media Asset Management systems. Digitizing video and audio from original tape or disc sources for use in Avid Media Composer. Creating digital files for external and internal viewing. Burning discs for outside use, including DVDs, XDCAMs, and Blu-Rays. Transcoding files from and to various digital formats. Maintaining archives of digital files for future use. Communicating and coordinating with clients concerning their encoding needs. Working with FTP clients to deliver and receive files to and from clients, including international clients. Managing shared Avid Isis and DIVArchive storage systems with LTO and ODA support. Capturing many different tape formats into Avid Media Composer, including HDCAM, XDCAM, DVCPro, DigiBeta, BetaSP, and DV formats. Using Telestream Vantage, Adobe Media Encoder, DaVinci Resolve, and Final Cut X to transcode RED, XAVC, Sony A7S, and other types of camera file formats for use in Avid environment.

Learned about the television environment, from Production to Post-Production. Specifically, worked in the Digital Transfer Center. Digitized video and audio for storage into Media Asset Management systems. Digitized video and audio from original tape or disc sources for use in Avid edit suites. Created digital files for external and internal viewing of edited show. Created files for burning to disc based media (DVD, Blu-Ray, ect..), Transcoded files from and to various digital formats. Managed shared Avid Isis and DIVArchive storage systems with LTO support.

Worked as an Instructional Assistant, spending most of my time in the edit bay. Learned basics of light, sound, and editing. Focused on Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut X, and Pro Tools. Most importantly, learned how to craft a narrative. Produced (shot and edited) a 35 minute documentary film on the future of free online education and how it is changing the world of higher education.
