I currently head up the Digital Marketing team at France Media Group.The role spans various products and services for the international Francophile community. They include websites, magazines and newsletters which deliver high quality coverage of French culture and lifestyle as well as property services and a tour company.

I was solely responsible for bringing in over a quarter of a million pounds each month. This involved the marketing of around 40 digital magazines including major brands like T3 (the UK’s biggest selling paid monthly digital) and Total Film. Tasks included managing: Campaigns – Devising themes and messages, liaising with external design agencies to produce landing pages and emails, scheduling, briefing teams, day-to-day management of live campaigns (including price changes and social media management) and campaign analysis of data. This is in addition to managing the on-going customer journey.Client relationships – Regular communication with external service providers and e-sellers such as Google and Amazon to ensure Future products are gaining optimum exposure from external channels. Also responsible for connecting with organisations that present new business opportunities. App development – Working closely on a roadmap with the development team to ensure that magazine apps are frequently updated with cutting edge marketing tools. These features are tested and refined before being utilised to attract and engage customers.

•Digital Storefronts – Using CMS to manage promotional areas of iPad magazine storefront and achieve maximum possible revenue. This includes cross-referencing with historical sales data to aid in decision-making regarding product placement. •Push Messaging – Solely responsible for writing, proofing and sending dozens of messages to tens of thousands of customers’ devices every day, in order to increase sales.

After completing my degree and spending nine months travelling, I was offered the opportunity to become involved with launching a PR agency. I wrote copy for and created websites using WordPress and provided advice on e-marketing.

For my 40-week internship I worked for a busy creative design and brand communications agency. Throughout this time I produced a number of digital and print marketing and PR campaigns for Xcetra and their clients (including BBC Worldwide and NBC Universal). This role was spent in a team environment where effective communication was fundamental to the success of the business. I held my own budget, took charge of my workload and constantly met tight deadlines. Responsibilities included:• Overseeing e-mail marketing campaigns• Managing social media accounts and updating the agency blog• Writing copy for press releases and distributing them to targeted lists• Creating and managing a client satisfaction program• Meeting with and making presentations to clients

I was given considerable responsibility being left in sole charge of the shop and petrol pumps handling large financial transactions. Also gained excellent customer service skills and an understanding of how a business operates from the front line.
