Patient Financial Advocate

Current

Mumbai, Mh, In

Like most people, I do not have a box at home filled with cash ready to pay for medical bills. I joined the Firstsource team on the TriHealth project because I have an opportunity to make a difference every day in the lives of the patients I meet. In talking with patients, I seek to identify ways they might be able to qualify for financial assistance programs.I have spent the last year continuing to build on my knowledge of the Medicaid world. I proactively approach learning and developing to contribute positively toward the team's productivity and success in landing approvals. Not only does the process involves being adaptable and flexible in using Epic and other technology to make it happen, but it also requires building relationships with everyone I interact with. These relationships include patients, social workers and care managers, nurses, doctors, EVS team members, and even those not directly in support of patient care. Every one is part of the care team, even if just caring for those who care for patients and their family members. Over the past year, I have often received commendable feedback both from patients and family members and client staff.
