“You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have”. –Maya Angelou This quote rings true to landscape architecture and the design world as a whole. I challenge myself to creatively design in a way that meets all needs in a functional yet eloquent way. This is why it is important to always feed fuel to that creativity by investing in the development of my personal design style. I have gone about this is by sketching, photography, studying successful designs, and traveling. In travel, I immerse myself in the cultures of the world, gleaning how my profession, and my personal style can impact people everywhere. I believe that the past holds the answers to the future, therefore I allow myself to examine everything to find what is good and bad so it can be applied. Travel has taught me how to quickly learn on the go and adapt to new situations. My goal is work towards taking the LARE and becoming licensed in as many states as possible. While expanding my personal style and aiding to others’ style by working in a constructive environment.
