I create, design, and develop websites at DQuinn.net, with a specialty in WordPress. I have partnered with visual and interactive designers all across the city of Boston to deliver end-to-end development to small businesses, entrepreneurs, and established brands like GLAD.org, LogMeIn, Life is Good, Massachusetts Freemasons, RedisLabs, LastPass, New England Baptist Hospital, Cambridge Savings Bank, Massachusetts Eye and Ear, Berklee College, Harvard Business Publishing, Harvard University Press, and Leica Camera.

I managed web development and digital initiatives for Boston and Philadelphia Magazine, providing back- and front-end expertise in WordPress as part of Metrocorp's internal digital team. As the principal developer of the production department, I interfaced with an outside vendor 10up to deploy various solutions for both digital properties, such as custom WordPress-based integrations for Google DoubleClick for Publishers and other third-party services including SnapApp, Magnify, iContact, MailChimp, and Brightcove. I also coordinated with editorial, sales, and marketing departments to capture extensive functional specs for internal projects, such as the newly launched Best of Boston website.

I managed digital innovation and development at Leap, a full-service, partner-driven branding agency in Boston. We provided end-to-end UI and back-end development, specializing in WordPress. I served as freelance contractor for two years prior to joining as a partner. I collaborated on pitch work, proposals, and budgets, and directly interfaced with clients in ongoing relationships. Also provided copywriting and copyediting support for the Director of Strategy. Clients included Boardroom Events and Deep Information Sciences.

I led back-end development for a collaborative freelance partnership with front-end developer Ian Phipps and visual designer Nicole Martinez. We created, designed, and developed websites for mid-sized businesses and entrepreneurs, with a specialty in WordPress and ProcessWire. Our clients included the Mars Corporation, Lamda Prime Investments, and Pro Hoop Strength.

I provided UI and back-end development for integrated digital marketing campaigns, with an emphasis in unit testing via PHP Unit and Selenium, ProcessWire CMS development, and social media and streaming video API integration. Clients included Veracode, Corning, Novartis, and StraightTalk Wireless.

I provided UI development and end-to-end back-end development in WordPress, first introducing the CMS to the agency as a solution. I started as a freelance contractor providing both web and copyediting and copywriting services, and was promoted to a full-time UI and later Senior UI Developer. I worked on many large, consumer-facing brands, including MassMutual, Sullivan Tire, French's Mustard, Frank's Red Hot, Boston Harbor Cruises, Children's Hospital Boston, Tribe Hummus, Lysol, Unreal Candy, Sam Adams, and the Museum of Fine Arts.

I managed all web-based digital media for small, independent cookbook and parenting publisher, including front- and back-end development for web properties. I integrated a custom third-party e-commerce platform with WordPress to sell e-books alongside print listings online.

I handled author reviews from the publicity department at Da Capo Press. I wrote reader reports on manuscripts for consideration and filed production errors.

I redesigned Emerson College's literary journal website in WordPress and created the fall (print) issue of the journal in InDesign. I also managed print resources and coordinated cover art with the other editors to prepare for the fall issue launch.

I served as Stetson University's AV support and web production department. I worked as a Flash developer and also provided faculty and student training in video production. I assisted in development of Stetson University's website, managed AV equipment checkout, and handled large-format print jobs. I also developed and implemented university-wide video presentations for three years of FOCUS orientation programs. We created presentations and multimedia for various departments throughout the university.

I provided emergency roadside assistance for AAA's warranty-based auto service programs, which involved organizing trip interruption for stranded motorists, re-booking flights, reserving hotels, and locating taxis. Accounts I handled included Porsche, BMW Mini, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, and AAA customers. I also negotiated towing services with local AAA clubs and procured alternative transportation for motorists.

I managed the front desk and made room assignments as well as took care of the catered business breakfasts and luncheons.
