Forward Together New Orleans (FTNO) is a non-profit arm of the New Orleans Mayor’s office that allows for additional flexibility and innovation in solving some of the city’s most pressing and complex challenges.My work with FTNO was to create a launch/implementation plan and execution strategy for their novel, innovative Universal Basic Investment Credit program.By engaging and educating youth in the New Orleans community into the world of investing, the Universal Basic Investment Credit (UBIC) program, is attempting to undo generations of entrenched economic and racial inequality by empowering organic financial literacy, independence, and ongoing advocacy. The core of the UBIC program is to get pre-paid micro-investment payment cards into the hands of youth to learn and “do” local investing through guided investing platforms.
