After more than a quarter century in the architecture industry, I am amazed at what remains to be learned and relearned each day. Our built environment is increasingly complex. We rely more and more on a collaborative network to arrive at effective solutions that balance first costs, life cycle costs, performance requirements, sustainability, client objectives and many other factors. It is often not what is known that is important but knowing where to find information and who to work with to find it.We are always seeking new solutions to better meet the needs of our clients and communities. Professionally, that’s accomplished through DDA, a boutique architectural firm that understands architecture is about much more than design and construction but about services over the life of a building. As buildings change over time, so do our services. We offer traditional design services for new construction, but also work on adaptive renovations, rehabilitations to length the life span of existing buildings, building envelope services, urban design, and other specialty services. Specialty architectural services include accessibility reviews, environmental graphics, property condition reports, limited construction management (agent), and other services which may be required. If we don’t know how to do it, we will work with you to find someone who can. We often collaborate with architects, engineers, and specialized consultants to help supplement needs within their team. We integrate in a way that is seamless and supports the goals of our clients, providing specialized services such as building envelope evaluation of all four barriers (air, thermal, liquid moisture, and vapor moisture), predesign/predevelopment services, urban design, and accessibility.
Listed skills include Mixed Use, Architectural Design, Comprehensive Planning, Urban Design, and 29 others.
