Daniel has more than 25 years' experience in both the public and private sectors advising on cross-border deals between Asia and Australia across a broad range of industries including renewable energy, green hydrogen, critical minerals, natural resources and infrastructure. Daniel is currently Amp Energy’s President of Australia and responsible for the development and delivery of a multi-gigawatt portfolio of utility scale solar, wind, energy storage and green hydrogen projects in Australia.Daniel was previously an Advisor to ABEL Energy, which is developing the Bell Bay Powerfuels Project targeting the production of 300,000tpa of green methanol by 2028 to decarbonise the shipping industry. Prior to ABEL Energy, Daniel was the CEO of Ark Energy, which is decarbonising the energy supply of Korea Zinc (largest zinc producer in the world) to support its ambition to become the first refiner in the world to produce green zinc. In three years, Daniel helped transform Ark Energy from a startup to a business with a 9GW portfolio of wind, solar, energy storage and green hydrogen projects (both domestic and export) on the east coast of Australia.The Australian newspaper named Daniel in its list of top 100 Green Power Players 2023 and top 2 for hydrogen.Daniel has been a Director of the Australia-Korea Business Council since 2014. He served as Queensland Government's Trade & Investment Commissioner for Korea (based in Seoul) for more than five years from 2015. Daniel received a Korean Government Minister's Citation in 2017.
