1. AV Production SupportCoordinate, design, test, install, troubleshoot, and/or produce, operate, support the following:- Live sound reinforcement- Audio mixing and recording (portable or installed)- Live video production, Multiple camera, IMAG, ENG- Video/Audio Editing- Artistic Lighting- Audio Systems- Production Rigging- Theatre Sound- Video Recording- Video Projection- Video Systems2. Assist with setting technical/quality standards for multimedia systems, venues, or facilities as requiredMaintain effective equipment and facilities- Oversee efficient, safe use; security; and proper storage of equipment and facilities - Schedule recommended preventative maintenance of equipment - Assist with recommended inventories, inspections, repairs, or equipment replacement as required- Provide technical support for University performance groups on tour as required- Promote good customer service and customer relations- Create and maintain positive customer relations (good communication, etc.)- Ascertain customers’ needs and do everything possible to meet those needs within constraints (budgets, standards, facilities, etc.), and communicate any applicable constraints to the customer- Assess customer needs and analyze customer feedback (SLA metrics, critical analysis of event support, etc.)3. Supervision - Hire, train, and supervise part-time student employees- May supervise full-time employees assigned to video/lighting projects- Ensure those supervised learn required skills to maintain equipment and systems, and that they follow established OIT and University policies and practices- May mentor student employees for major customers (i.e. performing arts departments)4.Infrastructure System Design- Research technical options- Research specific products- Design system solutions and assist with design implementation
