I have a Associates of Science degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant and twelve years of extensive work experience in geriatrics in a sub-acute setting. I have spearheaded and tailored programs to facilitate the preparation of patients to return home and participate in community activities utilizing safety measures, energy conservation/work simplification techniques, and an adapted equipment. I have received training in the use of PAMs in conjunction with therapeutic activities and therapeutic exercise to expedite patient recovery. I work hard to deliver impeccable attention, encouragement, care and service to patients in order to help them reach their goals. I enjoy the challenges of determining what therapeutic activities are necessary and appropriate to accommodate patients’ needs and capabilities, fabricating and/or repairing assistive devices, and making adaptive changes to equipment or environments to help patients function more independently.
