As the Incident Response Manager at St Vincent's Hospital, I oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures for the prevention and management of workplace violence (WPV) and other emergencies in the health care setting. I have over 20 years of experience in the health care industry, including 13 years in this role, and I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and a Bachelor's Degree in Visual arts.I am passionate about ensuring the safety and security of patients, staff, and visitors, and I have developed and delivered multiple training programs, exercises, and initiatives to enhance their awareness and preparedness. I have also established and maintained strong partnerships with external stakeholders, such as emergency services, health authorities, and government departments, to coordinate and collaborate on incident response and disaster management. Additionally, I serve as the chair of the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Australia and New Zealand chapter, where I promote and advocate for the professional development and recognition of health care security and safety professionals.
