I was tasked with making drinks while greeting and connecting with customers. I work at one of the busiest Starbucks locations in San Antonio. This job allowed me to exercise my customer service skills daily and taught me how to strengthen my communication skills.

After I would conduct sales solo and my performance was reviewed daily. I learned about the different leadership roles in the business and was promoted to a Junior Executive position in my 4th week at the company.

As a lead work-study I assist in overseeing work-studies in the VA Certification office on campus. Responsibilities include managing students work schedule and coordinating with the work-study supervisor on projects. My daily tasks include assisting students with military affiliated benefits and filing the associated paperwork. As a lead work-study I often coordinate with my team to investigate students’ financial issues that need to be resolved in a timely manner.

While working at this location I maintained high standards of customer service during high-volume, fast-paced operations. I also completed trainings to learn procedures for safe food preparation and assembly. I often assisted management with store opening duties and daily preparation tasks.
