1. I’m kind of a free spirit. What I mean is, I’m the type of person who thrives in a flexible work environment. I think for creativity to flow, you have to be able to be in a space that lets you feel comfortable to challenge, share, innovate, and get excited. Can I sit on the floor somewhere and think? Can I grab people to whiteboard? Can I come up with different approaches to solve problems? Sit outside? I like air. Who knew. The more openness for creativity - the better I thrive. 2. Titles. Are JUST that. UX - UI - Service Design - Experience Design - Design Strategy - Human Centered - Design Thinking - Product Designer - UX Architect. Here's the bottom line. I don't care if it's digital or physical because people don't think like that. I care about experiences tied closely with a business strategy. Let's talk about a title for that. :) 3. I get a problem and catch myself arranging and deconstructing the pieces - like Tetris. THIS is what excites me about what I do. It’s getting a complex problem and reverse engineering it into digestible bites. Most importantly, taking others on that journey with me so they can see it too. 4. Confession. I've taken so many personality tests - Disc, Myers Briggs, Color Code...It comes down to a couple things - I’m a driver and influencer. I am action-oriented and results-driven and strive to create with a high emphasis on collaboration, big ideas, and relationship building. 5. I can fly solo - but if I'm being honest -- I love being a part of a team. I once had a collab session where another designer and I just kept taking the marker out of each other's hands going all the way down the whiteboard feeding off each other's ideas. It was. THE dream. Let's connect! Reach out if you want to talk design, food,.. or dogs.
