Responsible for the training and operational readiness of 4 guided missile destroyers.• Tracked the progress of all shipboard certification requirements across multiple warfare areas leading to the successful completion of the ships’ pre-deployment training assessments.• As Air Elements Coordinator and Watch Officer, directed the movement of air assets and surface ships in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.

Responsible for supervising 32 personnel and overseeing the maintenance of the propulsion plant and auxiliaries.• Led a 6 person watch-team in the safe navigation of the ship and coordinated 300 ship boardings and inspections in support of the coalition-wide Maritime Interdiction/Security Operation initiative.• Designed a new vessel-tracking database that raised the speed, efficiency, and effectiveness of US and coalition ship interdiction efforts in the Northern Arabian Gulf.• Coordinated the actions of a 15-person damage control team in the areas of mass casualty control, shipboard firefighting, and emergency response; training efforts led to an excellent readiness assessment from external inspection team.
