● Review and evaluate physician’s referral and patient’s medical records to determine treatment required● Perform tests, measurements, and evaluations to assess instrumental activities of daily living, psychosocial, cognition, leisure interest, functional activities of daily living, range of motion, manual muscle test, coordination, and home management deficits● Plan, prepare, and implement treatment plans based on the patient’s needs● Consult with other members of the rehabilitation team to select programs consistent with needs and capabilities of each patient and to coordinate occupational therapy with other therapeutic activities● Select treatment programs suited to the individual’s physical capacity, intelligence level, and interest to upgrade patient to maximum independence, assist in restoration of function, and aid in adjustment to disability
