I've been an Emergency Room RN since July of 2007. I am proficient in the Charge Nurse, Triage Nurse, as well as Emergency Dept Staff RN role. I am responsible for the immediate care of patients of all ages, presenting with diverse medical conditions.Skilled with intravenous access, including difficult IV’s, pediatric and adult, as well as port access.Experienced with the care of patients undergoing a variety of emergent lifesaving procedures.Cared for ICU patients in an ED hold setting. I was also trained as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner. I held a dual role at Thompson Health starting in 2015. Certified as a Breast Health Nurse Navigator, assisting with breast biopsies, tracking results, providing medical as well as psychosocial support to patients diagnosed with breast cancer, providing community education in regard to early detection and monitoring. Maintained accurate tracking and monitoring records and collaborated with other disciplines to guide patient care in the best way possible. Partnered in the creation and implementation of a high-risk screening program that bridges the gap between breast imaging and primary care or OB/GYN department in regard to screening with breast MRI for eligible patients.
