F.F. Thompson Hospital has designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Magnet® hospital and from the state as a Stroke Center. Quality designations from the Joint Commission include Certificates of Distinction in Knee Replacement and Hip Replacement, Orthopedic Rehabilitation Certification and Advanced Perinatal Certification. Thompson was also the first hospital in New York to be named a Center of Excellence in Hernia Surgery™ by the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC).
Thompson Health was named one of Becker Hospital Review's Top 150 Places to Work in Healthcare in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. Also in 2018, the health system received “LGBTQ Healthcare Equality Leader” designation from the Human Rights Campaign Foundation (HRC), which previously recognized the health system four times since 2014.
