Greetings, I am Danielle Coates, a dedicated undergraduate currently in my junior year at Virginia Commonwealth University. I major in Bioinformatics with a concentration in computational sciences and a minor in Computer Sciences. My academic journey began at Bayside High School Health Sciences Academy. Proficient in Python, R, Java, and SAS, I engage in impactful research on the effects of preterm birth at the Biotech Center on MCV Campus in VCU under the guidance of Dr. Timothy York. As a participant in the MARC Program and a proud member of the National Honor Society (ODK), I bring a commitment to excellence in computational work, scientific research, and statistics. My aspirations lie in a versatile career as a Computer Scientist, Bioinformatician, Data Analyst, or Data Scientist, where I can contribute to the fields of data analytics, computer programming, medical coding, biostatistics, medicine, and genomics.
