I operated the Illumina MiSeq for the Amplicon-EZ service line. I also performed quality control checks crucial for downstream processing at a rate of 96 samples per day. I worked independently as well as in groups to troubleshoot machinery and projects, and multitasked quality control responsibilities with general lab upkeep including inventory, sample.

I evaluated drug candidates for effectiveness in inducing mitochondrial uncoupling as an anti-cancer therapeutic strategy. I independently performed cell culture techniques, investigative assays, and presented written and oral reports on progress in weekly lab meetings. I also presented my findings at the 2019 Cancer Institute of New Jersey Annual Retreat.
