I have completed a Bachelors Degree in Biological Science at Bowling Green State University. I am continuing to pursue a career on the Pre-Professional track of Veterinary Medicine. I have obtained approximately 480 hours of hands on experience with animal handling, a majority of these hours with livestock. I have also obtained approximately 50 hours of Veterinary shadowing and 75 hours in course research laboratories. I was an active member of the Pre-Veterinary Medical Association at BGSU over four years. In addition, I held the position as President my Junior year and Public Relations Member my Sophomore year for the Association. My Sophomore year at BGSU, I became an active member as a volunteer for the organization, Feed My Starving Children. I held a position of a Business Outreach Chair Member to raise money for the groups annual event where we packaged meals to be shipped to malnourished communities in third world countries. Junior year to the time of Graduation, I participated in a program called the Independent Falcon Network at BGSU. Through this program, I received a mentor and built a strong support network that fostered the success of students who identified as being independent individuals. An Independent would be someone who had been emancipated or in the foster care system.
