Designed and created calcification phantoms that mimic the appearance of breast calcifications in order to qualitatively and quantitatively compare conventional 2D mammography, magnification view, and digital breast tomosynthesis (3D mammography) systems.Wrote an algorithm in MATLAB that scores these different images based on the number and size of calcifications and similarity to the ground truth. The goal is to help work towards improved imaging systems and calcification detection.
