I am a 7th Grade World Geography teacher at Starbuck Middle School, an International Baccalaureate World School and team lead of the Social Studies Department. Every day as a middle school teacher is an adventure which ends in a great deal of newly accumulated knowledge and perspective. There is no reward greater than connecting with my students and watching them grow as individuals. In education I found a career in which I feel that I am being completely true to myself, and that is all I've ever wanted.In third grade my goal became to make this world a better place for everyone and everything on it, and that has remained my goal since. Although I initially went into campaign politics to promote positive change, I quickly learned that Nelson Mandela was completely correct: Education truly is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.
